We are a passionate group inspired by Marguerite Henry's "Misty of Chincoteague" books, devoted to preserving Chincoteague and Assateague Islands and their iconic ponies. Through year-round fundraising efforts, including donations and events, we gather funds to purchase a "buyback" foal at the annual pony auction in July. These ponies return to live freely on Assateague Island, enriching our lives as we watch them thrive. Auction proceeds support pony care, the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Department, and other community necessities. Join us in sustaining the legacy of these beloved islands and their cherished ponies.
